There is a place that allows visitors to do tremendous good by getting in touch with their wild side. The Aspinall Foundation is a world-renowned conservation charity that focuses on the breeding, protection and reintroduction of endangered animals. To date, the foundation has successfully reintroduced to the wild western lowland gorillas, black rhinos and Przewalski horses. They work alongside Howlett and Port Lympne wild animal parks in Kent to support their conservation efforts. Both parks give visitors the opportunity to see wild animals, not behind bars, but roaming in enclosures designed to mimic their natural habitat. At Port Lympne, visitors can also ride out on an "African" safari. Adventure lovers can even choose to stay on site at one of the parks multiple lodging sites. Those looking for a way to stun wedding guests or impress coworkers need look no further. In addition to (or even in lieu of) wedding gifts, brides and grooms-to-be can request that guests "adopt" one of the parks wild animals. Fab gift idea for the animal lover

My young niece is mad about lions, so I decided to give her the gift of "adopting" an animal for her birthday this year instead of another toy. It was quite easy to sort the adoption process on their website. For £3 a month you help support an animal of your choosing (I selected the lion of course) and they even send you free tickets to visit your animal at the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, so that was a nice part of the gift that my niece and I can experience together. She was thrilled with the idea and loves knowing that she (well, her auntie) is helping to take care of a lion. I also liked that everything was done electronically, such as the adoption certificate and e-newsletter updating you on the animal, so no waste.
