I booked a trip to this years Edinburgh Tattoo with Shearings Holidays and although I was hoping the total cost to be a bit lower, I'm pleased with the overall experience and their customer service. When I rang their customer service desk to ask a few questions they were very helpful and I decided to book online due to this experience as well as the lovely descriptions of the tours on their website. Honestly I wasn't in the mood to search on loads of websites and knowing that they are a respected touring company I decided to overlook the mild annoyance on price and book. Looking forward to the trip and I feel much more relaxed knowing that someone else has sorted out the details so all I have to do is enjoy myself.

I have just come back from a 5 day stay in Durham. The Eden Arms is a very friendly and efficient hotel. The trips were great, very interesting and informative. The driver and tour guide that accompanied on the tuesday were funny, knowledgable and made the day very pleasant. I will certainly travel with shearings again! Thank you

From the interchange at Gretna it took four&half hour to blackpool without a comfort break and coach toilet was locked.The driver said it must be out of order.It took nearly as long to get from Blackpool to Gretna as it did from Gretna to Straphpeffer which is twice has far,not good enough Shearings.

My partner and I have always wanted to see the Christmas markets, and with our families at odds, it seemed the perfect time to go this year and avoid the drama of the festive season at home. I looked at several different sites for prices on trips to Germany and since my mum had taken a Shearings holiday, I thought I'd look there. Was pleased with the prices and the activities included, so we went and booked. Have to say that I dont regret a second and would highly recommend taking a holiday with them, take a look!

My wife, her three friends and I stayed at the Caledonian Hotel for four nights from 16 to 20 Jan 2012, and couldn't fault a thing about the hotel, or Shearings.
From the moment we boarded the coach with our driver Diminic, the holiday started with a smile and anticipation.
Arriving at the hotel we received exactly what I had asked Shearings Customer Service to provide. Our room was spacious, comfortable and warm. Our housekeeper was Fiona and we found her very efficient and pleasant to talk to. Our waiter in the restaurant was Estevon and we found him to be puctual with our service and pleasant. The barman (sorry I can't remember his name. it's an age thing) after our first order was able to provide the drinks we required
without having to repeat the order and room number. TYhese peipke are a credit to the hotelm as were all the other staff we had contact with. The entertainment was exceptional especially Ronnie Ross and Paula McCauley. This was our fourth holiday to the Caledonian Hotel and won't be our last.
