At Anyvan, simply enter the information of the item(s) you want to move, and courier and “man and van” companies will contact you with a quote for the job. To get started, enter the starting and ending towns or postcodes into the fields on Anyvan’s home page, and click “Get Free Quotes.”

Type in what you need to move
Use the dropdown menu to select the category of item you’re moving, then type in the item (table, piano, couch, etc.) Dimensions, dates and price range are all optional items you can add. Click on the plus sign next to “Set a Maximum Price” to bring up a Promo Code field.

Go to Promotional Codes UK for a discount
Jump back to www.promotionalcodes.org.uk to find an Anyvan discount. To view a promo code you want, click “View Code & Open Site,” and then copy the code that shows up.

Paste in your discount code
Now go back to Anyvan’s website and paste or enter your promotional code in the “Enter Promo Code” field. Then click “Confirm & Get Quotes.”

Wait for quotes to come through
Quotes for your moving job will be sent into “My Messages” on Anyvan’s website. Click on “My Dashboard” at the top of the page to see the jobs you’ve posted and your messages. Click “View Quotes” to see bids on your job.

Accept an offer you like
After you’ve looked over the bids for your job, click “Accept” to proceed with one (It is courteous to decline the bids you don’t want).

Fill out collection and delivery information
Enter the address info for the starting and ending destinations for your moving job and click “Save.”

Pay the deposit
Before contact details of the person making the bid are released, Anyvan has you pay a small deposit. Select a payment type (credit card, PayPal, etc.) beneath the deposit total.

Enter payment information
Complete the Secure Payment Page as directed, and click “Confirm” to submit payment for your deposit.
