Foyles for Books Customer Reviews

Thanks for the student discount

They're running a 10% off for students offer until late October and although it's really not that much off, it's a nice gesture and every bit helps on a student budget. I was able to save off some of my texts for class, and the delivery was free as well. Whilst I was at it I picked up the Twilight book to see what all the fuss was about. Better late than never I suppose. No complaints about Foyles' service and I'll shop again.

Signed first editions make great gifts

My sister keeps talking about how her friends really enjoyed The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman, so when I saw a signed edition of it on the Foyles site I knew it was the perfect Christmas present. Plus it was only £16.99! Let's hope she doesn't read it before the holiday rolls around. Whilst I was at it, I ordered a few gift cards to put away as stocking fillers for the kids. No complaints about the Foyles site, they've always been fantastic and quick on delivery, plus the prices are quite reasonable.

Foyles is great for non-fiction!

I feel that non-fiction is a type of book that is often overlooked when it comes to bookstores. There's often a focus on bestsellers and novels that I don't get much out of. I'm a huge fan of historical and political books as well as books about crime. I also often search for reference books as part of my job as a secondary school teacher. I originally found a Foyles store and used to visit almost religiously because of the huge selection of non-fiction books they stocked. The problem came when I moved away and my nearest stockist was far from where I lived. So I started shopping online and I find that the range of stock is even better on the website. The downside to Foyles is that it is quite pricey in relation to a lot of other online book sellers, but I don't mind paying for quality. It also helps that delivery is free. Once, when I couldn't find a specific book I'd been looking for for a while I emailed them to see if they could find it for me. They tracked it down and although it took a while for the order to go through, I was extremely pleased to get my hands on it. I'm also pleased to see they are now stocking ebooks. I would thoroughly recommend Foyles - they are very helpful and they are knowledgable about books, which is all you can hope for in a bookshop!

Quite pleased with my Easter books

My nephews are coming round for Easter dinner at my house and I wanted to get them a little treat and teach them about the holiday. Foyles had some lovely Easter books and so I bought one for each, as well as a children's bible for them to share. Best of all the delivery was free! They just arrived today in perfect condition and look perfect for the occasion. I cant wait to give the books to them this weekend!
